My personal go-to cafe for any lunch break. With lovely drink options, they can also accomadate any hunger needs, with numerous options including; nutricious toasts, sandwiches, acai bowls and more. Probably your healthiest option in the area! Food that always leaves me happy and motivated for hours, because let‘s face it lunch really is the most important meal of the day!

Located right near shops like Subdued and Brandy Melville, if you are looking for something to do. And if you are still not intrigued, it is also one of the few places in Zürich that serve a great matcha latte! Despite the often bustling atmosphere it is definitely worth a visit!

2. Yooji‘s

Pronunciation debates aside, in Zürich Yooji‘s is recognized for its delectable Asian cuisine. However in my experience a meal there tends to cause a dent in my wallet, which is why I recommend using the second entrance and ordering at the counter instead of gazing upon the conveyor belt, where I always get way too excited!

Whether you want a warm soup, some sushi, a colorful dessert or maybe just a drink, Yooji‘s is always a great option! With their swift service, as well as tasty pre-prepared meals, you really couldn‘t need more!

3. Rice Up

Rice Up redefines fast food, eliminating the downsides associated with typical fast-food chains. As the name suggests, their menu primarily revolves around rice dishes. If that doesn’t align with your preferences, you might want to explore elsewhere. However, for students seeking nutritious and budget-friendly options, this is the perfect place for a quick meal, possibly even between classes.

Don‘t let the popular restaurant‘s long queue intimidate you, because being one of the few spots in the area with lightning fast service, that line should vanish within seconds. So in essence, worry, indesicion and queues fade away! While you let all that information settle in, let‘s discuss some cheaper options for those who don‘t ever have time to fill a lunch box from home.

4. Tschingg‘s

In my opinion the closest you can get to a home-cooked meal in the city! Just make sure you are in the mood for pasta, because besides that, they really only sell homemade ice-cream (which is also definitely worth trying!). Tschingg‘s is extremely affordable and always hits home! Quite like Rice Up they also have amazingly speedy service and are the perfect choice for a chilly day!

5. Napule

If you are in the mood for a NYC slice, but your piggy bank is shaking it‘s head, might as well stay in Zürich and visit Napule! Easily the best pizza in Zürich! And for reasonable prices too, especially if you are a student (make sure to flash them your student ID!). Due to their fast service and shorter lines, you can never go wrong! Plus, witnessing your pizza enter their authentic stone pizza oven is a delight in itself. So, why not give it a try?

6. Pepito’s

Pepito’s is a charming take-away spot conveniently situated right next to the Zürich Opera House, that serves the ultimate burger, exceeding all expectations.
